Docket vs Full Case Record
Dockets and case files serve different needs. A docket is best for checking whether a case exists, what has happened, and what event may be next. The full case record is needed when a person must review pleadings, orders, exhibits, decrees, petitions, or certified copies. In Mercer County, that means UJS may answer the first question, but the Prothonotary or Clerk/Register office may answer the copy question.
